Re: Prophetic dreams
Mon, August 1, 2005 - 5:20 AMHi, Im new here,
I dreamt about 9/11,saw the buildings on fire , then it happened 2 days after :(>
When i dreamed about people I know usually I knew that thyre sending me a message, somethings not good happenned to them :(> (people, freinds that I havent seen or heared for a while).
For instanced,an old freind gaved me her fav. fried chicken reciepe , havent seen her for years. One day, I thought of making it, while I was cooking, thought about her and wonder what has happened to her.
A month later, I had a yard sale, a family of her old freinds, neighbor came and I recognized them. I went to thier oldest daughters wedding, her husbands funeral etc.before.They recognized me too, like someone had directed them to my place :(, to tell me what happened to our old freind ANNIE, she died of a car accident:(>
Now my freinds kiddingly toldme, "dont dream about me or think about me ok'? This only happenned if freinds or relatives that I HAVENT seen or HEARED for a long time.
I dont like these kinds of dreams, I only "see or feel" bad things happening to people I care about.
I dreamed about my other freind of 7 years, we talk and visit each other, told her I saw her in my dream, she extended her hand to me and said "help me" I warned her about this. didnt know shes having problems :( before the dream.
Why do I only dream bad stuffs? I rarely dream but when I do, I WAS ACTUALLY IN MY DREAM.
ID rather daydream. -

Re: Prophetic dreams
Tue, November 29, 2005 - 10:54 PMFunny you would say that...I dream with both 9/11 and the first bombing...but didn't realise it until afetr the events. My 9/11 dream occurred 6 months prior....
I dreamt I was going down stairs...people were yelling..and running.. Walls were falling down...smoke everywhere. It was daytime...and I recall feeling tired and frustated about going down the stairs...many people were trying tp push pass me...and then when I got to the ground...I can see the ground was gone. I wrote my dream down in a journal I keep of random dreams, visions, readings etc. Unfortunate with some dreams you get bits and pieces...sometimes lots of details...but the dream can be so bizarro you ignore it. You know?

Re: Prophetic dreams
Mon, August 15, 2005 - 1:20 PMi have the most random unimportant glimpses into the future imaginable...i really feel this "ability" is more of an annoyance than anything else most times...do i know what re run of the simpsons i will happen to see next? will i hear that song in my head from 15 years ago suddenly again in a new movie i haven't seen yet? will someone call me or will i see them right after i've thought about them , and haven't seen them in years and years, you bet.
I don't dream about these things they just happen to pass into my semi conciousness during the day...do i ever see lotto numbers? hell no.
i didn't see 9 11 before it happened and was completely unaware of it when i went to take the bus to work that morning although i sensed something really foul with everyone, i saw two spiraling birds in my mind the week before...that was it, and i live in queens, you'd think i would have gotten some larger impression than THAT, right?
nope, just random unimportant white noise only i would tend to recognize, although i have many witnesses to the fact... -

Re: Prophetic dreams
Tue, August 16, 2005 - 10:57 AMYep... like me. I see I'm about to drop my keys, or which elevator is about to arrive.
I think I somehow knew to look in my car mirror, and knew to drive off the road (onto grass on the side), when the multi-car carrying bigrig truck driver must have been dozing, as the traffic in front had stopped, but he wasn't slowing up. He saw me swerve off, which I think woke him up, then he had to swerve into an empty lane of (no) oncoming traffic, jam his brakes on, and where he finally stopped, and where I was, compared to the stationary traffic, I would have been squashed!
So maybe that is useful?
But only to yourself. You were not going to be directly affected by the Sep11 incident so perhaps that's why you weren't precognisant?
But suppose you were? What could you have done? Would you have been seen as knowledgable in a real way, and you'd be still in jail being questioned? -

Re: Prophetic dreams
Tue, August 16, 2005 - 2:00 PMno, see what you have is USEFUL. Swearving to avoid a huge collision is good stuff, knowing what elevator is coming next is convenient.
Seeing stuff just for the sake of saying I saw that coming and it raises no blip on the important scale to anyone is just pointless. Maybe my day will come ;)

I know exactly what you mean. I've been precog since around 4. The first event I remember was the sinking of the Atomic submarine Thresher on her maiden test voyage...I saw all the seaman die. I tried to tell my parents but not only did I have a simple vocabulary, but they did not believe anything I said about the event. Later, a month or so, it was on the news, and I remember pointing to it and telling Dad, that's it, that's what I was telling you, and you know what? They didn't remember me telling them anything, that's how much of an impression I left in their consciousness. That all changed however.

Your description of how you see things is really interesting though, I generally actually live the events or see them as a movie type vision inside myself. However, sometimes I do sense things in popular songs which I hear in my head, the words of the song are the meaning of the psi-message.
<<Greg said>>
<<i saw two spiraling birds in my mind the week before>>
Yeah, but you know what, this is typical metaphorical messaging to us from our inner self through our knowledgebase. Depending upon the nature of the event I see different things, sometimes they seem too simple, at other times, I see right through someone's eyes as though their eyes were a TV camera...I know from what you say that you are really experiencing true pre-cog events and not coincidences.
thanks for sharing.

Re: Prophetic dreams
Sat, September 24, 2005 - 7:46 PMI dreamed of a friend of my ex-GF (they both live in a city 1600 miles away from me) who was going through cardboard boxes I have in a storage room in my house, he was moving things from one box to another. It was ok in my dream, I had no concern about mixing things up, nor about him stealing anything either.
A few weeks later the ex-GF said he was in the middle of moving. I'm unsure if my dream was PRE-cognition, it could have been at the same time.
Nothing spectacular though! -

Re: Prophetic dreams
Fri, November 25, 2005 - 8:57 PMIn a dream I had a few months ago I was riding on this wonderful and strange amusement ride. It was like a slike but was very long, low to the ground and you went down in a cart. It seemed like it was in the Alps. I was excited to find out tonight that this actually exists. It's a luge in Bavaria very close to the famous Neuschwanstein castle.
I hadn't had any dreams like this for quite more than a year. My dreams previously were more accurate of my experience. I would dream a conversation between friends that I would later witness and be able to predict. I also dreamed about my trip to Burning Man. I had the dream maybe 6 months before going; at this time I didn't even know people who went to Burning Man.
Does anyone have advice on how to cultivate this?

Re: Prophetic dreams
Tue, November 29, 2005 - 10:49 PMHi Bryan...
I have had prophetic dreams ever since I can remember. The trouble with some of my dreams...they repeat so often that at first I tend to overlook them. They can start out as basic dreams...where I'm visiting folks in specific locations, stores, apartments. The dream repeats itself sometimes for years.
For example...I had a store inside a mall years ago. But before I owned the store...I dreamt for years of specific events, that later turned out to eb linked. I was dreaming for months, even years of visiting little shops...mostly in the chinatown area. All types of food shops...all type of people shopping...veggies, fish etc. After a while, the dream got so repetitive that it got boring. So I would not pay much attention. Then I would dream of shopping...but comparions shopping...anyway. I got an opportunity back in 1994 to open up a shop in the chinatown area in NYC. And of course, it was close to lots of fish markets, veggie places etc. And I had to shop for my store...so I often had to do comparative shoping.
That's an example of my prophetic dreaming. I've had dreams of places I've worked at before I even started looking..months in advance. Places I've visited..I've dreamt about. The trouble I have with my dreams, they are so normal and so typical for me...that sometimes I overlook them. I have had soem truly cool ones...like the time I dreamt I was talking to my dead grandfather...about being broke. In the dream he told me not to worry about money, I'll always manage...and with that I recall hugging him. A few minutes later in the dream my grandfather and I were walking and I looked down..and found a book-like wallet with $105 in it...well that same money I found in a book-like wallet $105.
Bryan..I have tons of dreams like this...one of the reasons it's so typical for me..is that my mom and grandmother were very used to discussing dreams. All the females in my mom's side of the family were very aware of the power of dreams. So, paying attention to dreams was encouraged and not at all looked like a special talent...but rather as a matter of fact.
Over the years as I got older and got into college and began studying psychology I realized how rare it was to have dozen of prophet dreams. As a matter of fact, I was in therapy during my college years...and I attempted to discuss my dreams with my therapist...and many times I got told that prophetic dreams were impossible...so what I did was keep my dreams to myself. Sad isn't it?
Anyway..I can go on and on...

Re: Prophetic dreams
Fri, November 17, 2006 - 12:10 AMI don't remember ever having a prophetic dream, until I met someone who I thought to be my soulmate at the time.
We met at the wrong time, as she was dealing with a break up of a 3.5 year relationship....but still fell very hard for each other.
We cut things off in June. And haven't spoken since. I remember back in late April or so, when things were still REALLY good between us, I had a dream about her. In the dream I dreamt we were at the house I used to live at in high school....we were drinking. She got way too wasted off just a few drinks. Her parents show up with a cab. She gets in. I tell her I love her before they drive off, and she tells me "I know you do". They drive off to take her to rehab.
About a month later she begins to ingore me, I get clingy. Things fall apart and she tells me she needs time for herself to fix all the "junk in her head". This symbolizes the taking off for rehab in my dream. My dream totally called the fact that she would pull away from me to "fix herself". I did get very clingy for a little while and dramatic, but realized what I was doing and stopped all contact.
She always talked about how she had faith it would work out, of course this was before the disastrous end that happened. But she did say she thought we were meant for each other someday...just not right now.
Been many months since we last spoke. Hadn't dreamt about her once until a few nights ago. I dreamt we were both in a library (she uses the library for internet access, and she looks at my myspace regularly from this library even to this day). I kept sitting down next to her, and she kept getting up and walking away. I would follow her, sit down next to her again, and she would take off again..acting annoyed. This happened several times, until finally I gave up...went and sat by myself....went on about my business...and then *she* all of a sudden walks up to me...with a HUGE smile on her face....runs her finger up my chin/beard...then grabs my hand and tells me to come with her....she leads me out of the library....and that's when I wake up.
So....the first dream predicted the fact that she'd ditch me.
Maybe this second dream, all these months later is predicting she wants back in my life?

Re: Prophetic dreams
Sat, February 3, 2007 - 9:36 PMNothing important but I had a funny dream once.
I was about to meet a Tribe folk.
The night before I dreamed about that person and the number 5 kept coming back AND my mom was in the dream as well!
I thought it was so silly and strange...
When this person and I met I actually confessed the dream and learned that that person is born on the 5th day of a month, same birthday as my mom.
Simple, silly hee hee

Re: Prophetic dreams
Wed, April 18, 2007 - 9:16 AMI had a dream about my life '97. I didn't see the events of 9/11 or the grounding of the Concord but both events were referenced in my dream. More recently I had a Vision about someone hanging themselves in our church rectory...I was new to the church and it is rather large...so I didn't recognize the person in the vision...about 10 days later our pastor's son hung himself in that very manner.
