My son has had precog episodes several times that always used to frighten him until I started working with him on using the precog info to change the future into one he would be happier with.

It is also the stuff of a lot of prophecy which is a warning and not a certainty..
It is actually fairly common and a lot of what fortune tellers predict individuals does not come true because we use the power of free will.
